Learn the Buteyko Method

The Buteyko Method is usually taught either one-to-one or in small groups that comprise at least five sessions within a ten-day time frame.

At these sessions you learn the special Buteyko exercises and principles that have been proven to change the automatic breathing pattern.While you are learning how to change your breathing pattern, you may still get some symptoms and so you also learn strategies to help you deal with them.

Tips to get you started

The most basic point in the entire Buteyko programme is to breathe appropriately for any given activity. This means that if you are running from a bear in the forest, then you would expect breathe a lot faster and deeper than if you are sitting in a chair watching someone else run from a bear on television.
